Always love The Hat! Went by to pick up my cousins favorite for his birthday. A French dip and a pastrami! Of course, I got one for me and my wife... always delicious.

Their pastrami sandwiches are so good. I still need to try the roast beef

clean well maintained space to eat in. Food is unreal with how fresh and delicious it always is. Of course we go for the chili cheese fries and chili dogs, BUUTTT, my daughter really loves their pastrami sandwich and reports they have good hamburgers. Portions are enormous and great bang for the buck.

As a deli lover from way back, I was blown away by the authenticity of The Hat, especially the pastrami sandwich! Also, their onion rings are exceptional. We try to eat there at least once a month. See below for their menu items that I recommend. We have never had a bad experience at The Hat, whether we’re dining in or to go.

Solid choice. Good sandwich. Not exactly what I expected from “world famous”, but good.

My friends wanted to stop by here for early dinner. This location is near my work office so I just stayed a little at work and my friends drove from the valley to join me here to eat. I found parking easily when I came because they were not busy at all. I arrived first so I went to put in my order because I didn't know how long it would take. After looking at their menu, I decided to go with their turkey sandwich, added American cheese which is an extra cost, got a small French fries and a small drink. My food actually didn't take long to be ready but it does cost more than other fast food places. They give you a decent amount of fries and the sandwich is a decent size. The inside of this place is spacious and will make you feel like you went back in time because the setup is like albeing in the 80s. My friends joined and put in their order. They mostly got the pastrami sandwiches and the chili cheese fries with pastrami. The portion that they give for the fries with pastrami is huge and it make sense because it cost close to an entree meal. I thought my turkey sandwich was good especially with their buttermilk ranch that you can ask for and the fries I think just needed a little more seasoning. My friends enjoy their pastrami sandwich along with the fries as well.

What a delicious Pastrami Dip Sandwich! We ended up sharing 1 sandwich for 2 people because it was massive! So delicious especially with the aus jus dip. Best Pastrami Dip Sandwich in Ventura County, hands down! We also got a small fry which was massive! We couldn’t even finish half of the fries because there was so many. Think we spent around 20 and it was easily enough for 2 people. What a great deal! It is one of the go to places of Simi Valley. Very clean and old school type of spot which you don’t really see around anymore. Love this place! Highly recommend the Pastrami Cheese Burger which I didn’t end up getting this time but that burger is absolutely delicious as well!

Amazing classic fast food with fresh and tasty food! The interior is very cozy and very very clean! All burgers and sandwiches cooking freshly everyday They also have a drive through! And they work until 11:00 p.m. which is super nice! Highly recommended! This is not a regular chain restaurant but this is much better!
